Back from Writer's Block
Hello There, Dear Reader. Sorry for my long absence from publishing articles, and thank you for sticking around.
I’ve always said I’m a coach first and foremost, who also writes articles; not a professional writer who does a little coaching on the side. My twenty years in the trenches give me a breadth of experience to draw on, and a sense of which issues are interesting or frequently occurring enough to be helpful to many lifters.
But I can’t generate articles, or ideas for articles, on demand. I’ve published as many as 10 original article in one month, but there was also a period of over 2 months in early 2024 where I didn’t publish anything at all. However, this current drought has been my longest to date, and I do apologize for that.
My modus operandi is that if I don’t have anything interesting or useful to write, I don’t publish slop just to keep my newsletter at the top of your mind.
For the past few months, I haven’t thought of anything interesting to write.
Until now.
I’ve got a new article coming out tomorrow that is among the best I’ve ever written, if I do say so myself. I hope you’ll agree after you read it. It’s pretty deep and conceptual rather than an immediately actionable new cue or program, but I think you’ll find it explains a lot about the fitness field as a whole.
I have another more practical piece almost finished up that will probably go live early next week.
Thanks again for hanging in there with me. I hope not to have such a long gap between articles again, but I will continue my pledge to not post until I have something to say, rather than resort to filling your inbox with slop.
