As great as the early gains in the Novice phase are, you really need to enjoy this whole training thing, or at least commit to doing it regardless of whether you enjoy it, because it’s a long-term endeavor, not a quick fix.
Would you suggest someone do the same as an early intermediate as well before moving to more complicated programming? i.e. if I fail twice with a typical volume and intensity day on my squat on weekly progression, would you recommend one reset and try again?
